Student Service Council News ~ November2017

We elected our representatives and alternates from each 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classroom. At our first meeting in early October, we reviewed last year’s projects and talked about this year’s priorities. We are looking to link all of our programs with a theme of peace/kindness for the first time. Students were enthusiastic about this idea! Next week, we will begin planning for our annual Holiday Helpers program. The Council is also looking forward to some of our other projects including the Week of Reading with Dr. Seuss’s birthday, our book drive to support Read to Grow CT, and our Earth week. We will be adding some Fun Friday activities to promote peace as well.
