Student Council News – May 2016

This month, the Student Service Council hosted Earth Week at Tashua. The mozzarella sticks for Meatless Monday were a huge hit and the weather cooperated the next day for Teach-outside Tuesday. Tashua was a sea of green on Wear-green Wednesday and so many students brought trash-free snacks the next day. Not only did we keep classroom lights off on Friday but many classrooms will continue this through the end of the school year so we can save more energy. Our Earth Week tree by the library is covered with leaves made by each student.

Team Spirit Day on Monday, April 4th was amazing and a great way to celebrate MLB’s opening day of the baseball season. Next week the Student Service Council will assist with our annual Tashua walk to raise money for diabetes (JDRF). Our last meeting of the year will be on May 12th where we will reflect on our work this year and even think about projects for next year. The Student Service Council has worked hard to serve Tashua School this year!
