Dear Parents,

We have had a smooth start to the school year! I would like to thank all of you for taking the time to make sure your children were so prepared for school! It has been a pleasure to see the students enter the building each day with big smiles on their faces and displaying an enthusiasm for learning! I would also like to thank the parents who have volunteered to help us the past few days during the start of the day and at dismissal time. This teamwork has helped us to start the year successfully!

As you may have heard, we had quite an exciting first day back to school. We kicked off the year with a school-wide spirit assembly. During the assembly, students were welcomed back and we reviewed some of our school policies and procedures. At the end of the assembly, our kindergarteners and our new students learned our school song. We even had a visit from our school mascot “Thunder”.  At the end of the day, we took the time to practice our first fire drill. Once the fire drill was completed, a majority of our staff members accepted Booth Hill School’s nomination for us to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!

Not only did we complete the challenge; we will also be making a donation to ALS from Tashua School. If your family would like to make a contribution, please send in a check with your child in a sealed envelope marked “ALS Donation.” Checks should be made out to: ALS Association. We will be collecting donations until Friday, September 5th. As soon as we have a video for you to view, we will post it on our website.

look forward working with you during the 2014-2015 to continue to build on the safe and positive school community that we have created for our students. See you at Back to School Night on September 9th .

Fondly,
Mrs. Neumeyer
