Student Council News – October 2015

NEW THIS YEAR:  A new name for The Tashua Student Service Council!

For the past few years we have tried to find ways to involve more students in the life of the school.  In keeping with that direction, we have changed the name of our student council to the Tashua Student Service Council.   This is a small change in name but a big change in the mission!

Each 3rd, 4th and 5th grade class will still elect two representatives to the council.  This year, in addition to working to represent their class and their “buddy class”, the representatives will be finding ways to involve other students in doing service to our school and community.

Elections are currently underway in classrooms.  The first meeting of the new Tashua Student Service Council will be Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 in the morning.  We hope this meeting will be our first step down a new road that will help other students feel more involved in our Tashua community.
