LIBRARY ~ MS. CASSIDY ~ May 2018

Third grade is deep into their biography report. Students started taking notes and will continue their research in May. Fourth grade is starting internet safety. We will review how to be safe on the internet, covering topics such as personal information, netiquette and password security. We also will discuss why it is important to always check with an adult when visiting sites on the internet. Fifth grade will be practicing how to use the green screen to make basic videos.
In May we will have two special visitors. On May 18th, Tom Lee, a professional storyteller, will be spending the day at Tashua. He will host performances for each grade level throughout the day. Later in the month on May 31st is the rescheduled visit with author Candace Fleming. We will host two programs in the morning – one for grades K-2 and one for 3-5.

Thank you to all of you who participated in the Bedtime Story Day fundraiser. I have been able to order many new and exciting titles for the library.
