1st Grade Meet The Teachers

Mrs. Flynn

IMG_1405Hi my name is Pam Flynn and I have been teaching for 24 years (16 of them at Tashua).  I love teaching first grade.  It is such a rewarding year as a teacher.  You see such tremendous growth.  I am married and live with my family in Trumbull.  My oldest daughter, Abby is 14 and goes to Trumbull High School.  I have twins, Jenny and Jarrett who are in sixth grade at Madison. We have a Labradoodle, Cassie, she is 3 years old and loves to bark at passing cars.  Good news is she doesn’t shed!  Life is busy with sporting events, lax and field hockey on the weekends as well as dance and girl scouts.

Hi. My name is Elaine Farr. I have been a Trumbull resident for 21 years. I am married and have 3 daughters. My oldest works at NBC Universal in NYC. The middle daughter recently moved to the San Francisco Bay area and is currently looking for a job in biology or chemistry. The youngest is currently a student at SCSU majoring in Biology and would like to teach high school Biology, Chemistry, and General Science. I enjoy playing golf and hiking with my husband. I also enjoy reading, jogging, cross fit, and doing puzzles.

Ms. Kelly

My summer trip to Greece!

Hello! My name is Ms. Kelly and this is my fifth year in first grade here at Tashua. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with an undergrad degree and received my masters shortly after from Sacred Heart. I absolutely love teaching first grade because there is such a significant change socially, academically, and emotionally in my students from August to June! I look forward to spending the rest of this year with my energetic, curious, fun-loving group of students. When I’m not at Tashua, I like taking my dog Riley for hikes, relaxing with friends, and trying new restaurants because I am a total foodie! I also love to travel, which all started when I studied abroad in Granada, Spain.

If you’d like to volunteer in any capacity in our classroom, please email me or contact our room moms on opportunities such as mystery readers or sharing                                                                                         special family traditions!
